THE RAMZI THEORY

Specialists in early fetal gender determination

Here at The Nub Techs Ltd we are passionate about giving you results that help you shape your future. Our team of experts specialise in placenta tracking through diagnostic imaging and will take great care in looking at your scan to determine the gender.

WHAT IS THE RAMZI THEORY AND HOW DOES IT WORK?

Have you heard of The Ramzi theory?

Then let us tell you a bit more about it! Dr. Saam Ramzi Ismail conducted an extensive and controlled study of over 5,000 pregnant women. In his study, he discovered that using the direction or orientation of the chorionic villi (future placenta) is an accurate marker in determining the gender of the baby.

Scientifically, it relates to a natural polarization in which male embryos have a proven pattern of being magnetized toward the right side of the uterus, whereas females are drawn toward the left side.

This method is best used from 5 weeks into a pregnancy by using a 2-D ultrasound, however the theory becomes less accurate after 8 weeks when the placenta begins to thin out and grow.

WHAT DO WE DO?

Our professional team specializes in placenta tracking through diagnostic imaging, experienced in identifying the location of the chorionic villi (future placenta) As well as other markers i.e sac shape, positioning in the womb and scanning plane of each ultrasound image.

When we look at your early gestational scan, we use the surroundings such as the belly wall, uterus lining, bladder, cervix and the chorionic villi location around your baby to predict the gender. Combining these expertise with our exclusive reading technology this makes us the number one choice for early fetal gender determination.

ABDOMINAL vs VAGINAL SCAN
the nub techs

Unlike an abdominal ultrasound, a transvaginal scan is performed when the ultrasound wand is inserted in to the vaginal canal in order to take photos from inside. These internal scans are used earlier in the pregnancy (5-8 weeks) to help the sonographer to obtain a higher quality view and to also check for multiple pregnancies.

There is a huge debate among pregnant women who discuss the Ramzi Theory. The question to answer is whether trans-vaginal ultrasounds appear to be on the “same side” as pictured on the scan. Likewise, abdominal scans are “flipped,” or a “mirror image.” although this is sometimes true, this is not always the case. Sometimes trans-abdominal ultrasound scans are true to the same maternal side.

Abdominal ultrasounds are usually flipped, but there are cases they are not. So this is where we come in as the experts in the field to be able to work this out and determine exactly what gender your baby could be.

The Studies Dr. Saad Ramzi Ismail

The Ramzi theory is based on the original research performed by Dr. Saad Ramzi Ismail. In this study ,more than 5,000 fetuses were scanned by ultrasound for placental location and gender. In normal fetal development, the genitals develop at around 4 weeks gestation so with ultrasounds performed early in pregnancy, it is nearly impossible to accurately determine gender based on visualization of the genitals.

In this study, ultrasounds were performed at 6 weeks gestation and then again between 18-20 weeks, when gender can be reliably predicted. Ultimately, all fetal genders were confirmed at birth. Using the data collected from the study, it was concluded that at six weeks gestation, 97.2% of the male fetuses had a placenta on the right side of the uterus. For female fetuses, in 97.5% cases, the placenta was found on the left side of the uterus.

Ramzi Theory uses this data to form the conclusion that gender can be reliably predicted during early ultrasound based on the position of the placenta within the uterus. There have not been additional studies performed to confirm or dispute this theory.

Is Ramzi Theory Fake?

No, although its not been documented to have the full science backing, the studies performed showed an unbelievably high accuracy rate! A new company on the market is stating how false this theory is and trust us when we say it is not false. Our current company accuracy rate for the ramzi theory is 80.2% and although during live scanning the ramzi theory is much higher in accuracy still images hold a pretty good success rate, for us anyway!

So please be mindful of new companies appearing, especially ones who will predict gender at 9 weeks. This simply can not and will not be accurate and is purely a 50:50 guess.

After 8 weeks your baby's placenta starts to move, therefore ramzi can no longer be used. Between 8-11.5 weeks no theory can predict your baby's gender as their nub is starting to rapidly develop.

All NUBS at this gestation will appear GIRLY and PARALLEL.
